Thoughts on Re-Opening Plan May 12, 2020

Thoughts on Re-opening

It goes without saying that I miss all of you tremendously. As we are awaiting to hear the Governor's guidelines on re opening the studio,  we are preparing  for any scenario.  Our number one concern, of course, is YOUR safety and the safety of our Staff. We are in close contact with studio owners around the world and sharing best practices. I want to assure you that even before the studio was closed, it was sanitized and cleaned on a daily basis, and these of high standards of santization, with hospital grade cleaning products, will be maintained once the studio is open. In addition, please note that the air coming into the the studio is purified and cleaned through the UV lights in the heating system plus the frequent running of the Odorox Boss XL machine. The manufacturer of this machine claims that it kills airborne viruses.

Similarly to my fellow colleagues around the world,  my plan is to open up the studio in three phases. During phase one, class sizes will be limited and priority will be given to those students who have continued to support the studio during this challenging time by continuing their membership. Also, we are asking everyone to re sign our waiver before returning to the studio. We have made important updates for the online line classes and opening during this time. You can find a copy of the waiver on our website and ask that you sign it electronically from your computer or device before entering the studio. That waiver applies to your in studio practice, as well as, your remote practice.

So here are my thoughts, as of now, for the three Phase Plan:

Phase One

·  When the Governor permits us to reopen, we will enter into Phase One with protocol that includes, but is not limited to:

·  Limited class sizes and times

·  Attendance by registration for current members only (priority given to those who have maintained their membership)

·  Continued access to online content with new videos daily

·  No drop ins will be allowed

·  No new students

·  Scrub-in station and temperature check on arrival

·  Touchless hand Sanitizers

·  no lost and found

·  no recycle or trash (everything you bring in must leave with you)

·  Social distancing norms throughout the studio

·  Measures to decrease frequently-touched surfaces like removal of trash can lids and propping of doors

·  Sanitization of all touch surfaces after every class

·  Staggered class times to ensure time for cleaning and social distancing

·  All students must practice on their own at and towel

·  No rental mats or shared yoga props

·  No access to locker rooms and showers

·  No lingering before or after classes
Please note that while class sizes are limited, we will work diligently to ensure access to classes are shared evenly between all students who register on the waitlist.

Phase Two

We will enter Phase Two when we are able to increase class sizes and capacity. In Phase Two, we will reopen in-studio classes to new students, drop-in clients and those who cancelled or suspended their memberships during quarantine.

Phase Two will include, but is not limited to:

·  Increased class sizes and times

·  Open attendance, by registration only

·  Continued access to online content with new videos daily

·  All sanitation and safety protocol from Phase One

·  All students must practice on their own mat and towel

·  No rental mats or shared yoga props

·  No access to showers

·  No lingering before or after classes

Phase Three

We will enter Phase Three when the State lifts all COVID-19 protocol.
We recognize that many of the behaviors we've become accustomed to will become the new normal for our society and will continue our impeccable sanitation protocol and commitment to cleanliness as always.

Phase Three will include, but is not limited to:

·  Increased class sizes and times

·  Open attendance, by registration only

·  Access by unlimited members only to online content

·  All sanitation protocol from Phase One

·  All students must practice on a mat and towel

·  No rental mats or shared yoga props

·  Access to showers
